Shesheshen is a shapeshifter who lives peacefully as an amorphous mass in a dilapidated mansion. But like all monsters, her tranquil rest is interrupted by some rude monster hunters, from whom she escapes by creating a temporary body from the remains of her last meals and everyday materials: half-digested bones for limbs, a metal chain for a spine, and a bear trap for a second mouth. Luckily for her, she meets Homilia, a pleasant, placid, and kind human who takes care of her and helps her heal her wounds. The perfect candidate to be the mother of her offspring after she implants her eggs in her, for what could be more romantic than living together and having her children devour her from the inside? But as they get to know each other and he falls in love with her, Shesheshen fears the decision of whether to eat his new lover and lose her or not. In the midst of the search to find the creature that has cursed Homilia's family, she will have to learn and decide if she wants to have a life "with" it or "inside" it.
