La necesidad de amar

Young Martí Rocamora travels to Rome in the summer of 1987 to write a novel about Beatrice Cenci, a Renaissance aristocrat who has become a tragic symbol of feminine beauty, desire, and rebellion against power. During his research, Martí meets a couple who initiate him into a passion without rules. Seduced by the eccentricity of his new friends and dazzled by the bohemian atmosphere of the palace parties, he discovers his feverish need to feel loved. This brings to the surface fears, secrets, and guilt that force him to reconsider his trip. Will he be able to finish his literary project, or will he return home with his dreams shattered?
