Inolvidables : La pasión de entrevistar

The first time Juan Cruz interviewed someone, he was thirteen years old and perched on a small ladder to reach the telephone in his home in Tenerife. The interviewee was a Francoist military officer who also worked as a football coach, and that day changed Juan Cruz's life forever. Since then, he hasn't stopped asking questions to tell people, as his mentor Eugenio Scalfari used to say, "what's happening to people": "I asked so many questions [...] that I never got used to asking like a professional, but rather like the curious person I've had inside ever since I discovered that asking questions is better than staying silent." This book, which compiles some thirty of the best interviews he's conducted over the last five decades, is proof of that passion for knowledge.
