One hundred years ago, a comet collided with the Moon, causing some of its enormous ice fragments to fall to Earth. This unleashed a climatic cataclysm: a seventy-year deluge that caused sea levels to rise, gradually engulfing the continents until they were completely submerged, and a drastic decline in the human population. In this world without land, young Bota lives with his family aboard a small boat adrift on the vast ocean. As they struggle to gather resources to survive, they must face deadly attacks from fearsome monsters that dwell in the depths.
