Four women and a man are the last survivors of the "Corpse Recycling Program," a project that recycles the excess heat generated during cremation. To do this, they agree to move to an innovative, insulated building that can only be heated by a state-of-the-art crematorium oven, which operates solely on corpses. Over time, their neighbors have passed away; only Tana, Oliva, María Encina, Sabina, and El Hombre Madroño remain. They need someone to die to provide warmth, but they seem destined to live in that cold building. The program is merely a pretext for showcasing a group of desperate characters who try to defend what they have, while learning the importance of care, the suffering of abandonment, and the fact that loving deeply does not necessarily mean loving well. Thanks to the intellectual connection between two of the characters, who read and study the "suicidal poets", a window opens to a magical and poetic plane that will give the community a feeling of family and sisterhood, in a tragicomedy where death and surrealism are very present.
