In 1987, veteran writer Mike Grell, famous for his work on Warlord and whose pen had graced characters like the Legion of Super-Heroes and Green Arrow himself, revitalized DC's archer during his run on Green Lantern with the incredible Prestige format miniseries Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters, which marked a new beginning for Oliver Queen within the post-Crisis continuity. Grell then relaunched the Green Arrow title, delving deeper into the character's essence and introducing him to a whole new generation of readers. This first collection from that era gathers both the miniseries and the first issues of the regular series, as well as crossovers and specials.
