Un hombre mejor (Inspector Armand Gamache, 15)

As torrential rains hit Three Pines and the level of the Bella Bella River continues to rise, threatening to destroy everything, Armand Gamache returns to the Sûreté du Québec, under the direction of his son-in-law and former lieutenant Jean-Guy Beauvoir, after a harsh nine-month suspension. But now he must face a double crisis: a natural disaster that puts the entire province in check and the disturbing disappearance of Vivienne Godin, a twenty-five-year-old pregnant woman.
