Nolan Callahan, the Ghost of Christmas Past, intends to spend the holidays tormenting people. It will be seen and not seen, and thus it will be able to return to its anodyne existence as a ghost waiting to pass into the afterlife. But when he meets Harriet York, the loveliest assignment he's ever been given, he suddenly begins to long for a future. Harriet York doesn't understand why a ghost appears to her. She is a good person, always tries to please others and does what is expected of her. But when she and Nolan begin to examine their past, they discover that there are threads that unite them... and they realize that turning the page will not be as easy as they expected. With the Christmas Eve deadline approaching, will Harriet be the key to giving the Ghost of Christmas Past a future? Or will they stay in the present to deepen a connection that is as spiritual as it is unexpected?
