Las brujas de El Paso

1943, El Paso, Texas: Nena spends her days caring for her older sisters' babies while yearning for a life of adventure. The premonitions and fainting spells she's suffered since childhood have worsened, and she worries about ending up like the old healer who lives down the street and terrorizes everyone. She prays for help, and when Sister Benedicta appears to her one night, she follows her beyond the boundaries of space and time. In colonial Mexico, Nena will come to master her powers, find love, and learn that magic always comes at a price. In the present day, Nena's great-niece, Marta, struggles to balance her job as a lawyer, her children, and caring for her ninety-three-year-old great-aunt. When Marta agrees to help her find her daughter, whose existence she was unaware of, a strong bond forms between them. Marta's supernatural powers emerge, granting her new possibilities, but they will threaten the course of the life she has built up to that point.
